Mine beeps when it does updates too and it comes through the headphones at whatever level i have them set to so usually it 1. blast my ear drums out and 2. gives me a heart attack. I turned off the acoustics but hope that works for updates too. The sound is annoying and often enough that if I can't turn it off I'm going to quit using it.
Thanks so so much for this. Now the annoying beep won't wake me up while Avira does its scan while I sleep!
